Frequently asked questions about Flexi.
Short answers about the Flexi app: what it is, what it costs, what stays private and who it is for.
What is Flexi?
An app for learning and practicing the Flexi Method skills. Use it on your own, or alongside therapy if you have it.
Does it replace therapy?
No. Flexi is a skills app, not therapy. You learn, practice and grow at your own pace, and it works well alongside a therapist if you have one.
How much does it cost?
$99 a year or $9.99 a month, paid through Apple or Google. Both plans include all 86 skills, search and the daily game. Your Skill of the day is free. See plans
Who can see what I tap or type?
Nobody. Flexi does not save it. Only your practice ticks stay, on your phone.
Do I need a therapist to use it?
No. You can learn and practice every skill on your own, at your own pace.
What do the FM numbers mean?
Every skill has an FM number (for example FM 7.3) that matches the Flexi Method Skill Map, so you can find the same skill on the cards, on the Skill Map and with search in the app. See all 86 skills
Is there a free trial?
No. The yearly plan is $99 a year, which saves $20.88 compared with paying monthly, or you can pay $9.99 a month. Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play settings and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. The Grip Check, the guides and every skill page on this site are free.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Flexi has no account and keeps nothing you write. Your practice ticks and settings stay on your phone, and Clear this phone in Me removes them all at once.
Is it available outside the United States?
Not yet. Flexi is available in the United States for adults 18 and over.
Is this a crisis service?
No. Nobody monitors the app or messages in real time. If you are experiencing any unsafe thinking, call or text 988, or call 911. 988 is the free Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. It is a separate national service, not part of the Flexi app.
How is the Flexi Method different?
Many approaches are designed for people who struggle with too little control. The Flexi Method was designed for overcontrol: holding back, rigidity and feeling distant from others. What is the Flexi Method?
